MODERATOR'S MESSAGE: MOMENT, MUSING, MUMBLING

Greetings, Friends!

•Refrigerator •Expresso •COVID Caution

REFRIGERATOR – The fridge is up and running on the front porch. And, it’s a nice one! This will be stocked with food for folks who need some help. Many thanks go to Flash Grub and the PDX Free Fridge Network for getting this installed. Many thanks to members of FCUCC for being willing to take this step.

ESPRESSO – Yes, the espresso machine is working – FINALLY! I can’t promise it will be in use on Sunday, but if not for Mothers’ Day, very soon thereafter. We do need some folks to get trained and start “working” so we have scheduled training for May 18th – hour to be determined. Come one, come all! It really isn’t TOO hard (but there are details to watch) and, it’s fun and a great way to get to meet other folks.

COVID Caution – Yes, we are not out of the woods quite yet. General numbers are up, though hospitalizations are less of an issue. We have heard from several of our congregation who have tested positive and/or been exposed. So, be careful!

We are still meeting in person on Sunday at 10:30. However, we know that many folks are not comfortable meeting together right now. Please use your best judgement for your own case; do not come to church if you are feeling ill or have been exposed. We do expect all at Sunday worship to have been vaccinated and boosted. We encourage masks and distancing while together. Although we are all tired of these precautions, let’s not let our guards down – at least not too far. I have no interest in becoming a statistic!

I hope to see some of you in church on Sunday even as others join us on line.

Peace,
Phil
