BIENVENIDOS
First Crew will be working on quilts at home through the end of January
Just before Christmas, Susan Adcock delivered the Miraculous Mystery Quilt to Ainsworth UCC for the refugee family there. She also brought one of our gorgeous kids quilts along for this cutie. This particular quilt was part of a group that Cedar Hills UCC recently donated to Bienvenidos Quilts.
Last week we sent 59 quilts to Green Valley Arizona for chilly migrants and refugees. Bruce and Judy Bishop will be bringing them 30 more this first week of January. Safe and sunny travels, dear friends!
First Crew will be working on quilts at home through the end of January. We have fabrics and sewing machines for you to work with. If you don’t sew by machine, there are many other ways you can aid the project, from cutting and ironing to hand sewing and organizing.
Do you remember the beautiful rainbow quilt that was hanging behind the altar before Christmas? Would you like to see it return? Perhaps you are the hero who donates $500 to Bienvenidos Quilts so that it can be a permanent dedication to all of the contributions that LGBTQ+ members have made and continue to make to First Congregational. Perhaps a group of you would like to be a Heroic Team!
Two packets of notecards are still available. Contact Rachel.
