UNDIES THE TREE

It’s time for our annual Undies the Tree Drive where we collect new UNDERwear, put them UNDER our Christmas Tree in the Fellowship Hall, and donate them to area organizations. This year we’re working with one organization – Rose Haven Shelter. Rose Haven is the only day shelter and community center specifically serving women, children and gender-diverse people in Portland.

Eve’s Circle organizes the drive, but anyone can donate. This year we offer three ways to give:

  1. Drop off your donation under the tree in the Fellowship Hall. Rose Haven requests NEW women’s undies sizes 5-8 and NEW or LIKE-NEW bras.

  2. If you cannot make it to the stores or to the church, you can make a tax-deductible donation via the Rose Haven Amazon Wishlist. It will be delivered directly to their facility. More information about that here.

  3. Or, if you’d rather keep it personal, send a tax-deductible check to First Congregational UCC. Make the check out to FCC, with Eve’s Undies the Tree Drive written prominently in the message line. Judy Bishop will go shopping for the shelter at the end of the drive, using the money collected.

Over the past 8 years, our congregation has donated THOUSANDS of pieces of underwear, socks and gloves to area organizations. (This year, as noted above, we ask specifically for new underwear, women’s size 5-8, as well as new or gently used bras.) Thank you!
