Moderator's Message

Summer has arrived with a vengeance, hasn’t it? I hope you managed to stay cool during this sweltering weather. Those who attended the structured listening sessions in the past weeks responded that they were helpful and healing. If you weren’t able to attend or would like one more opportunity to share, there will be a third session next week with Reverend Parker and Reverend Remole in attendance. Speaking of those two, both Reverend Parker and Reverend Remole will be in the church office next week and participating in the service on Aug. 7. I hope you’ll be able to attend church, virtually or in-person, that Sunday. I gratefully and joyfully await the next new chapter in the life of First Congregational Portland.
