SUPPORTING UKRAINIAN REFUGEES IN GRESHAM

AN URGENT REQUEST FROM REV. ANDREA CANO (interim president, Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon)

I no sooner said goodbye to faith colleagues about how best to support the Ukrainian community here, when I received a message from the Ukrainian Bible Church in Gresham, essentially an SOS for clothing. The church’s stock of available clothing and personal items was wiped out by some of the 30 refugees who arrived in the last week or so.

Urgently needed are:

  1. New or lightly used, clean clothing, jackets, coats for women, men, teens, children – every size - especially for infants and toddlers

  2. New underwear, undergarments, and socks – all ages

  3. Disposable diapers and baby wipes

  4. Personal toiletries – soap, shampoo, shaving item

  5. A special request for ‘nice’ dresses for the women who go to church

  6. Strollers, car seats, boosters

We will make arrangements to deliver donations that can be left at church Sunday. Contact: Bruce Bishop
