MODERATOR'S MESSAGE

I hope you are able to come to worship this Sunday, October 10 at 10 am. Many of us have been looking forward to the service in the sanctuary with special music from the choir and the organ, and being in the presence of our church community. Those tuning in online need to go to Facebook or YouTube. A link will be provided in This Week and in a Sunday morning email.

The choir, augmented by a small orchestra, will be singing Mendelsohn’s Elijah, which has a text that could have been written for our time. Don’t miss it!  In addition, Dr. Elnes has a special message for us this week which you will want to hear.

While we still can’t share the abundance and flavor of a full-blown fellowship hour, there will be coffee and other hot beverages in the Fellowship Hall after the service.

We are delighted to be able to announce that there will be childcare for children ages 0-6 on for the Second Sunday service.  Anne Sullivan and her daughter, Keelin, will be in the nursery from 9:30 to 11:30.

Some of you have shared feedback from the services you are attending on the other Sundays of the month during this time of experimentation. You can share your thoughts by sending an email to the moderator@uccportand.org
