Commissions

An essetial component of our leadership structure are our Commissions.  Commissions are accountable to the Church Council to oversee the work and mission of the church. Each Commission has six members elected from the church’s membership to serve staggered three-year terms.  Commissions meet at least three times annually to plan and evaluate programs, and envision ways of fulfilling their mandate. Most Commissions, however, meet monthly.  Commissions may delegate to individuals and groups such functions as are necessary to accomplish their mission.   Our Commissions work jointly with other commissions whenever possible to fulfill common goals.
